Senjata – Senjata Tradisional Khas Jawa timur

mlakumlaku.net | Senjata Tradisional Khas Jawa Timur. Jawa Timur merupakan salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang di duduki oleh banyak kerajaan Hindu dan Islam pada masa lalu.

Beberapa kerajaan yang pernah Berjaya di tanah Jawa Timur antara lain Kerajaan Medang (937 – 1017), Kerjaan Daha Janggal (1080 – 1222), Kerajaan Singasari (1222 – 1292), dan Kerajaan Majapahit (1293 – 1527).

Kerajaan-kerajaan tersebut berkuasa dan Berjaya sampai akhirnya Jawa Timur jatuh di bawah kolonialisme Belanda pada sekitar abad ke-17.

Perang pun tidak dapat di hindari antara penduduk Jawa Timur dengan Belanda dan para tantara sekutu. Namun pada saat itu sekutu banyak membawa senjata modern seperti Meriam, senapan, dan pistol, maka penduduk Jawa Timur pada saat itu menggunakan senjata tradisional untuk mempertahanan tanah mereka.

Berikut adalah beberapa senjata tradisional khas Jawa Timur antara lain clurit, kudi, bunding, caluk, bionet, dan keris.

Berikut adalah penjelasannya :

  1. Clurit
    Clurit merupakan senjata trandisional jawa timur yang berasal dari suku madura. Clurit adalah senjata dengan bahan besi yang melengkung dengan ujung yang sangat tajam dan biasanya di gunakan untuk duel maut demi mempertahankan harga diri atau bisa juga di sebut budaya carok.

    Pada saat Madura di duduki oleh Belanda dan sekutu, clurit adalah senjata andalan penduduk madura untuk melakukan perlawanan terhadap Belanda dan sekutu.

    Clurit yang di gunakan biasanya di bumbuhi dengan ritual adat untuk memberikan kekuatan magis pada clurit tersebut.
  2. Kudi
    Kudi adalah senjata khas jawa timur yang memiliki bentuk menyerupai senjata kujang dari jawa barat. Kudi biasanya banyak di gunakan oleh pekerja kasar dan juga untuk senjata pertahanan diri rakyat jawa timur.

    Kudi mempunyai arti menghidupi dalam segala kondisi masyarakat Jawa Timur. Kudi banyak digunakan untuk memotong kayu bakar, kemudian di jual ke pasar, sehingga rakyat mendapatkan uang untuk makan dan bertahan hidup.
  3. Bunding
    Bunding adalah senjata dengan bentuk pisau besar mirip seperti golok dengan sarung yang terbuat dari kayu. Bunding berasal dari Suku Osing Banyuwangi dan biasanya di gunakan untuk pekerjaan, pertahanan diri dari serangan binatang buas, dan ancaman musuh.
  4. Keris
    Keris adalah senjata trandisional jawa timur yang memiliki bentuk berkelo-kelok, kedua sisinya tajam, dan ujung nya lancip dan tajam. Keris berasan dari bahawa jawa “ke” yang berarti pagar, penghalang, peringatan, atau pengendalian. Sedangkan “ris” berarti tenang,halus.

    Maka dapat di artikan bahwa keris adalah senjata yang dapat mengendalikan diri secara halus.

  5. Bionet
    Bionet adalah senjata trandisional jawa timur yang berbentuk seperti pedang. Namun bionet sedikit lebih pendek dari pedang, memiliki ujung yang runcing, dan gagangnya membetuk sudut 90 derajat dengan bilahnya

  6. Caluk
    Caluk adalah senjata tradisional yang berasal dari jawa tiur, tepatnya dari kabupaten tuban. Caluk mempunya bentuk seperti golok dengan Panjang 1 meter yang terdapat kapak di bagian tengah bilahnya.

    Dengan ini membuat caluk menjadi senjata yang serba guna menangkis dan meyerang lawan. Di era modern saat ini caluk sudah sangat sulit di temukan bahkan di daerah asalnya. Hanya sedikit warga yang masih memiliki caluk hasil peninggalan nenek moyang yang di wariskan secara turun – temurun
